The two major—Hana ENT Network and Doori ENT Network—held the “1st Doori-Hana ENT Network Joint Academic Conference” on June 22 to discuss effective treatment approaches for conditions including vertigo and tonsillitis.
The academic conference, held at Park Luan in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, was attended by approximately 70 directors from the two networks and 11 medical staff members from the main campus of Hana ENT Hospital (Director Lee Sang-deok).
This is the first time that the Hana-Doori ENT Network, the largest ENT network in the country, has hosted a joint academic event.
At the academic conference, Professor Shim Dae-bo of Hanyang University Myeongji Hospital gave a lecture titled “Effective Diagnostic Methods for Patients with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.”
Dr. Hyung-ro Joo, director of Another ENT Hospital, presented on “Clinical Experience with Patient-Tailored Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy Techniques.”
Next, Dr. Shin Jae-min, Director of Yangju Doori ENT Clinic and Insurance Director of the Korean Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, gave a lecture on “Health Insurance Policies for 2024.”
Hana-Doori Network plans to use this first joint academic conference as an opportunity to hold regular joint events and explore ways to provide more effective medical services to otolaryngology patients.
Dr. Lee Sang-deok, Director of Hana ENT Hospital, proposed, “As the public has come to trust, rely on, and expect more from ENT clinics than ever before during the COVID-19 pandemic, let’s work together to ensure that the Hana and Doori networks can evolve into even better medical institutions.”
Lim Hyun-ho, Chairman of the Doori ENT Network, stated, “I hope that this academic conference will serve as an opportunity for the two networks to continue their healthy competition and cooperative relationship so that we can provide high-quality medical services to our patients.”
